Wombling in 2019

For those who want to make a weekend of it, Amesbury Walkers will be organising their Woodhenge Womble on the Saturday before the CoSARC Stonehenge Stomp – so why not Womble on Saturday (26 January) and Stomp on the Sunday?!

The Woodhenge Womble has traditionally been held on the Saturday of the Stomp weekend, the 10k route taking in Woodhenge and Durrington Walls, which are part of the Stonehenge World Heritage Site.

The Womble is an ideal event for people to meet up if they are staying in the area for the weekend – and it’ll loosened the legs for the Stomp on the Sunday.

Last year the event moved from its usual base at Amesbury Sports Centre to the Durrington Recreation Pavilion (SP4  8HH), from where it will begin again this year, starting at 2 pm. Tea/coffee and light refreshments will be available.
