Wow! What a wonderful day. Thank you so much to everyone who took part in the Stonehenge Stomp on 28 January, whether as a walker, runner or volunteer. It was the perfect way to celebrate the event’s 30th Birthday – and judging by the number of familiar faces as well as lots of new ones, its future is looking bright.
Which is more than could be said for the weather, although it was kind enough to stay mainly dry on the day. However, lots of rain the preceding week left the routes a bit muddy. But all part of the fun!!
Thank you for all the positive comments, too, which made the work worthwhile.
And a very big thank you to all the volunteers from City of Salisbury A&RC and Amesbury Walkers – we couldn’t have done it without you.
If anyone has any pictures to post, we’d love to see them. And any suggestions for future Stomps would be appreciated, too. Photographer Andy Robbins’ wonderful pictures of the day can be found on our Facebook page and are free to download (Stonehenge Stomp).
Hope to see you all again in 2019. Watch this space for the date and details.
